Dow futures tick lower, Disney up 2.9% after earnings

As investors keenly watched a series of speeches by the Federal Reserve, US stock futures saw a mixed session among major benchmark averages during Wednesday’s evening trades. Dow Jones Futures were down 0.1% at 6:35 PM ET (11:35 PM GMT), while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 Futures had each lost 0.2%. Walt Disney (NYSE:DIS) saw a 2.9% increase in extended trade after reporting Q4 EPS of $0.82 compared to $0.71 projected and revenues of $21.24 billion versus $21.37 billion. With Q3 EPS of $0.30 versus $0.27 projected and revenues of $864 million versus $797.12 million predicted, AppLovin (NASDAQ:APP) saw a 16.7% increase in shares. Following the announcement of Q1 losses of $0.57 per share as opposed to projected losses of $0.64 per share, Affirm Holdings (NASDAQ:AFRM) saw a 10.6% increase in shares. Compared to expectations of $444.45 million, reported revenues were $497 million. With Q3 EPS of $0.58 versus $0.37 projected and revenues of $1.03 billion versus $989.95 million predicted, Twilio (NYSE:TWLO) saw a 7.4% increase in trading. Following the release of Q2 EPS of $0.36 versus $0.26 projected and revenues of $806 million versus $746.9 million expected, Arm Holdings (NASDAQ:ARM) saw a 6.5% decline in value. After reporting Q3 EPS of $1.59 versus $1.24 projected on revenues of $557.6 million versus $534.13 million expected, HubSpot (NYSE:HUBS) saw a 6.3% increase in shares. Investors will be keeping an eye on new jobless claims data and Powell’s speech ahead of Thursday’s trading. AstraZeneca PLC (LON:AZN) ADR (NASDAQ:AZN), Becton Dickinson and Company (NYSE:BDX), SoftBank (TYO:9984) Group Corp. (OTC:SFTBF), Honda Motor Co Ltd ADR (NYSE:HMC), and Li Auto Inc (NASDAQ:LI) are among the firms set to announce results on shareholder value. The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased 40.3 points, or 0.1%, to 34,112.3 during Wednesday’s normal trading, the S&P 500 increased 4.4 points, or 0.1%, to 4,382.8, and the NASDAQ Composite increased 10.6 points, or 0.1%, to 13,650.4. The 10-year Treasury bond rate on the bond markets was 4.492%.
